20 acres of Red Reef Park in Boca Raton has been reserved specifically for this nature center. Encompassing a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal waterway, you’ll find a natural tropical hammock which includes a coastal dune, sabal palm hammock, and mangrove wetlands. Visitors are often treated to sights of rare and endangered manatees, brown pelicans, osprey, and sea turtles.

Close to 11,500 acres of land and river teaming with wildlife draw the visitor to this state park. Four scenic nature trails and a bicycle trail provide rare opportunities to glimpse endangered and unique animals like the bald eagle, Florida sandhill crane, and gopher tortoise. The Loxahatachee River winds its way through the park, passing under a canopy of cypress trees. The park has boat rides, canoeing, picnic areas, campgrounds, and fresh water fishing.

LAKE WORTH MUNICIPAL BEACH

Developed beach (1,200 feet) with pool and lifeguards. Features picnic areas and grills, 1,300-foot fishing pier, golf course, shuffle board, gift shop, restaurant and casino. No alcohol permitted.
