PALM BEACH COUNTY PARKS & BEACHES
GUMBO LIMBO ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLEX 20 acres of Red Reef Park in Boca Raton has been reserved specifically for this nature center. Encompassing a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal waterway, you’ll find a natural tropical hammock which includes a coastal dune, sabal palm hammock, and mangrove wetlands. Visitors are often treated to sights of rare and endangered manatees, brown pelicans, osprey, and sea turtles.
Close to 11,500 acres of land and river teaming with wildlife draw the visitor to this state park. Four scenic nature trails and a bicycle trail provide rare opportunities to glimpse endangered and unique animals like the bald eagle, Florida sandhill crane, and gopher tortoise. The Loxahatachee River winds its way through the park, passing under a canopy of cypress trees. The park has boat rides, canoeing, picnic areas, campgrounds, and fresh water fishing.
This unique environment is home to a nature center, boardwalk through wetlands, and interpretive displays. Visitation is by appointment only. Tours and environmental education opportunities may be arranged by calling the number above.
Tour the 145,000-acre Northern Everglades on foot or by boat. The visitors center provides guided hiking and canoe tours and programs on the park itself. See native wading birds, alligators, hawks, and other native habitat indigenous to Florida.
JUNO BEACH
JUNO BEACH PARK 300-foot guarded beach, showers and picnic shelters.
Developed oceanfront (900 feet), nature trail, picnic area, bike path, four tennis courts and children's play area. Marinelife Center/627-8280, sponsors group sea turtle watches in its season and a sea life education center.
CARLIN PARK Developed oceanfront area with 3,000 feet of rocky beach and hiking trails. Open sunrise to sunset.
Developed oceanfront beach (1,700 feet) with a fishing jetty and lifeguards.
Developed beach (29 acres) with lifeguards on weekends and holidays only during winter months, Dubois House Museum.
Rocky beach surrounded by the Intracoastal waterway; boat slips, boat launching ramps, picnic shelters, Loxahatchee Historical Museum.
KELSEY PARK
On 5.5 acres, features four ball fields with lights.
One-acre playground featuring equipment, benches and restrooms.
JOHN PRINCE MEMORIAL PARK Situated on 726 acres on Lake Osborne, this park features picnic and camping areas (RV hookups available), fishing, nature trail, exercise trail, wheelchair course, golf driving range, nine-hole par 3 golf course under lights, miniature golf and baseball/softball batting cages. Open sunrise-sunset.
Developed beach (1,200 feet) with pool and lifeguards. Features picnic areas and grills, 1,300-foot fishing pier, golf course, shuffle board, gift shop, restaurant and casino. No alcohol permitted.
ALLAMANDA PARK Fully lighted baseball and soccer fields.
10 acres provides a baseball diamond, recreation building, club room, wet slips and dry slips, tot lot, volleyball and two tennis courts.
On 7.5 acres near a lake, features basketball, volleyball, tot lot, bicycle track, walkway and pavilion.
3 acres provides four ball fields, two volleyball courts, two racquetball courts, two basketball courts, playground, recreation building and gymnasium.
PALM BEACH MUNICIPAL BEACH Undeveloped beach, mostly bulkhead. Limited meter parking, no alcohol permitted.
Developed beach (1,300 feet) with lifeguards. Picnic and recreation areas and plenty of parking. No alcohol permitted.

COMMUNITY CENTER Features 12 acres, swimming pool, heart trail, jogging trail, gymnasium and racquetball courts.

PALM BEACH SHORES PARK Developed oceanfront beach (3,000 feet) with lifeguards, playground.
CUNNINGHAM PARK Located on 3.8 acres, features tot lot, shuffleboard courts, three lighted tennis courts and picnic shelter.

On less than one acre, features two lighted basketball courts, tot lot and picnic shelter.

CONSTITUTION PARK Plans include a heart trail with exercise stations, volleyball, basketball, racquetball, gazebo and playground for children.

This unofficial park serves as the focus for windsurfing in the area and is accessed from Australian Avenue, north of 26th Street and. No gasoline engines are allowed on the lake, making it a windsurfing and sailing paradise.
